Initial Reactions and Appearance

There are no major veins in the leaf, and the construction of My Father La Reloba Seleccion Habano Corona is all around pretty good. Unfortunately, the initial smell and unlit draw tastes of cheap tobacco, souring what could have been a great first impression.

First Third

The first third of My Father La Reloba Seleccion Habano Corona is extremely bitter and tastes exactly how I thought it would from smelling the cheap tobacco. After the initial puffs, the bitterness fades away and some slight coffee flavors appear on the retrohale. Nothing too crazy, but the subtle flavors make it a better smoke than before. During my smoke, the cigar canoed and had to be readjusted with the lighter, but given the price, everything is mostly what I expected.

Second Third

No development worth noting and the flavors are exactly the same. The burn improves a bit and the draw is tight, but tar buildup starts to get intense rather quickly.

Final Third

The tar buildup has completely overpowered anything good about this cigar. Not only that, but the burn canoed again and needed some more touch up. My Father La Reloba Seleccion Habano Corona is an affordable option, but the issues with the burn and flavor make it difficult to recommend.
